I'm gonna ask you a silly question mate as new to x5's

Whats the advantages of using this?

Do you control through the original unit?

Also where does it get connected to?

Thanks

Yeah thats the idea, you have to disconnect the cd changer in the boot and plug the wires into the dice unit. You can then route the ipod lead wherever you need it,i had it fitted under the armrest. You can control the ipod from the stereo or steering wheel controls.

Is there a way to keep the CD changer working as well , or is it one or the other ??
I've heard people speaking of a unit that does both , but never found one . I'm keen
to keep the changer as well as I have 100's of CD's and not all of my music fits on my
i-pod !!

Cheers , Chris

Chris, you need an Intravee with an AiNet switch - and a compatible Alpine CD changer to plug in in place of the BMW one. The KCA420i plus the switch means you get the best of both worlds. Take a look at toysinyourcar or wait for Sanj to come along and explain in detail :)

i didn't want to say i was going the Intravee route in case it swayed potential buyers.

but as it's out in the open, I might as well say sorry Neil but that's why i didn't get back to you after my intial enquiry.
