No Radio??? power dead on one side of screen

4.6is full spec comms etc


Seem to have lost power to my radio/music...the rest of the screen is cool with sat nav/ tv/computer fine...just the left hand side is dead..no orange power light on...non of the the left hand buttons functioning...when i look on the select screen i have lost my dynamic sound processor icons as well...checked all fuses which mostly run the whole screen etc and nothing...cd player in the boot is alive and ejects??? totally confused...

any thoughts or help gratefully received

Lee,

Know how to disconnect the battery? 15 minutes of that first...

Then disconnecting all the connectors, cleaning them and putting them back.

Hi Lee and welcome ......sounds daft but try disconecting the battery for 10 mins and then re connecting as this can sort out many electrical glitches.
Is your battery good as this can be the main culprit for stuff like this with low power the electrics can do all sorts of wierd stuff. Try these first before any drastic measures..............ohh and when you get chance introduce yourself over in the other section and get some pics up of that 4.6 :thumbsup:

Ahhhh the old disconnect-reconnect :thumbsup: glad to be of assistance :thumbsup: .......i wonder how many people have had parts replaced due to the temperamental electrics in our x's :roll:
