Once I fix my wing mirror issues (diff thread), is it possible to configure the wing mirrors to fold if the alarm is active or something similar? Also if the alarm approach, for the windows to close as well?

No. Sorry...

Try a quick search on the Intravee and you'll get the idea.

i think you might be able to do it if you have a 1.4 scanner.

the ZKE3 coding screenshot on the webpage below shows the option Mirrors --> Pivoting during comfort closing

which i guess means they will fold if i keep the close button pressed. I won't be able to try out until next weekend, but i'll let you know how i get one when i do get round to it.

E53 does that too, and opens all windows holding down the open button.

I use to have an XR2i ages ago and even that use to close the windows when I activated the alarm. I will try holding down the button.

My wife's 2006 320d had it and when she replaced with a 335d (facelift) in 2009 they had removed it? I asked about the feature when I ordered my X5 last year and the dealer said they'd re-enabled it and gave me some story why the removed it in the first place (that sounded like nonsense so I erased it from my memory!). Turned out he was wrong because it's not enabled on my X5.

ok so i set this using the 1.4 scanner and i still couldn't get the mirrors to fold when using the comfort close. All the windows went up, but the mirrors didn't budge.

Hello - did you ever find out how to do this as I have the same problem. I've configured the option with BMW Scanner but it doesn't seem to work (comfort closure works but the mirros don't move !!) Thanks.

I have read on here somewhere that a member asked the dealer why it was not a feature anymore. He was told  they removed the option on the later cars due to a Health and Safety reason in the UK. It is possible to enable, but the dealers refuse to do it in the UK, Apparantly.

I think this was a dealer bum steer.  I had a F10 520d that is a later model than the E70/71 and it had the folding mirrors activated by holding the car lock button for a few minutes.

You can do this with the Intravee and the Extras firmware.
