My Summer...................

Thought I'd share my summer fun.....................
As a few may know we have been renting for a lot longer than we have hoped.
I wanted to have bought again by now, however, despite prior intended purchases, things havent worked out & we have had to stay in the rental sector.
Our last landlords got bored with their new & fun retirement hobby & decided to sell when I told them the boiler wasn't working....I think they cried
Having been served notice for 2nd time in 18 months my wife, (who seriously dislikes renting), wasn't happy to say the least.
We managed to find a rental home but it has been rented a while and is in need of some updating.
Annoyingly it has had one or two areas of mould inside - even in summer
3 forced house moves in 18 mths & various other pressures made me a little less happy than usual & I may have shown this at home at times.
Due to forced moving expenditure we sensibly decided not go away on holiday, (third consecutive year without same).
Oh well , we thought.........We can holiday at home instead
With all the talk of global warming I prayed for some good weather to spend with my wife & family.
At work I found myself having to be more mindful of the need for political correctness.............At least I don't have to be subject to the strict diversity policies that some workers have to comply with.
With all work & no play I became more grumpy & as a result my wife wasnt overly happy re this.
Anyway we looked forward to me finally having some time off & enjoying the summer weather.............finally that time came.
Ideal for a drive to the local shops to check out the latest merchandise.
The journey was well worth it I can tell you...........
I moved around the venue quickly & my speed nearly cost me some points - fortunately I remembered my card.
I took some car park snaps before leaving - this ones the best ......Sorry I had to use my camera phone, (I hate that my old 35mm camera wont fit into the boot of my car)..............Who can guess the make and model of the car 2nd nearest to my on the right.........(clue it has a prancing lion badge)
When shopping, my wife bought a new bikini. She looked great in it & was looking forward to wearing it at the local beach.
................but August turned out to be the wetest in the uk for 14 yrs so she would have been better wearing this.............
No summer would be complete without a 4 wheel fix & my father can let me borrow his pride & joy.
Despite official time off I also had to do work & study from home this Summer.
I became a little nervous re my forthcoming exam & had to pop some pills the night before the exam to keep me on track.
With all the Summer excitement I think I sailed through my work related exam.........
Before I knew it I was back to work......On my first day back, one of my customers was naughty & called me a rude name - He really was a very angry chap
.......I confess that I may have privately laughed about this afterwards..
Other highlights, ( sorry no pics) : Buying a beach kayak & sustaining a blistering my back so I couldnt use it for ages after it's first full day use. Daughters 18th, bought her a diamond ring & a stone fell out ; took her skydiving - cancelled due to thunder. Buying a pop up tent that wouldnt collapse. Breaking a greenhouse window. Driving in rain with broken window regulator. Mother calling 2 yrs early to ask how 14 yr old did in GCSE's ! Last but not least visiting & daily calling my 87 yr old father who has deterioratring health.....Otherwise all good & on a more positive note we managed a nice meal out one evening
Well that was my Summer...............................Thanks for reading & looking
Oh & btw ; If anyone is worried re aforemetioned pill popping - I well & truly got over it some days later when things suddenly caught up with me !
.......................................Must go - I really need to do a little cleaning now
I enjoy reading others recreation & hol's updates etc - My tounge in cheek post primarly mocking self rather & certainly not inended to offend others on here whom I respect but feel comfortable exchanging friendly banter with
