Do you have key coding options on the E70 as well? Items such as "flash on lock" like there was for the E53.

				yes
set as double flash on opening single on close
I have been looking to see if u can code beep on lock but cant find right line codes.
as a supplement I have been able to code double blink hazards, wing mirror fold with fob & comfort access, auto tailagte close from button inside and the all important VIM (tv, dvd in motion - no lock out) over last couple weeks
see here for extensive details

When Sir's car arrives, sir will find most of these options are now in the CIC iDrive under Vehicle Settings. Each key can be set up completely differently with Seats, Mirrors, Temps, Radio channels, locking options, DRLs, auto-lock, one/all door unlocking, relock on drive off, quick keys, lock flash etc etc.
It's all a case of twiddle and press. Once you've read the 600 page manual first of course..

If Sir has Xenon HID then I don't believe there's any adjustment required - beam pattern is flat - with a slight step up to the nearside..no 'wedge' of light. Certainly is on my X6, and I've not found any mention of a change device or evidence of one. The light units are so buried in the (plastric) front wings that I can't see how to even get at half the bits in there!!
It may be a dealer adjust job. Might be worth giving your dealer a call.

There is no bias in the lights and all models now have xenon as standard so no need for adjustment

Interesting enough, the Xenons on the E53 do have a slider for European setup (and so does my M with Xenons).
Normally, I get flashed to death on the continent

Yes even hot keys are key specific. I kept telling the Mrs to press one of the keys to get home on the sat nav and it never worked-I hadn't set her key up the same as mine.

Pressing a key to get home? Now that is advanced

Perhaps you should tag her instead. Oh no, that is happening in a few weeks ...

You know me, I bought a proper one!
Ha yes true - one month of freedom and won't need to fill out forms saying divorced anymore either!
I have never had the heart to tell her that I can track her in the x5 on the Internet! Bit of a relationship killer that one I reckon!
