Switch on Angle Eyes as DRLs

guys,
I have xenons, but not dynamic (ie, they don't turn sideways with the steering, only up/down).
With head lights set to auto mode, can the angle eyes be turned on as daylight running lights on the E53, if so do you know how to do that pls (i'm hoping this can be done with the scanner)?

I don't believe they can be coded as DRLs but I am going to try and wire them up as just when I get a chance.

Just a thought (probably a rubbish one but.....) but didn't Swedish cars require DRLs, and if so, how did BMW deal with it for those countries? Is there a coding option on the LCU's that allows for a different country, but doesn't change the whole car into a Volvo or Saab.
Told you it might be a rubbish thought....

Has anyone tried out the combinations of the 3 tick boxes on the scannerr (EU. US1, US2). I've tried each of them individually that didn't help.
EU setting has no running lights
US1 fires the xenons as running lights
US2 fires the non-xenons
Has anyone tried putting a tick against more than one of above at a time? Maybe a combination does the trick.
