I have the old PVR set (not the mod) to search and record all top gear. Nice and easy to skip/ delete as required.

thanks, didn't know when they'd start (although i have it on auto-record).. well its not a car show its an entertainment show but still..

btw, did you guys notice, pre-xmas fifth gear gave a very good rating for the E53 - said it was one of the 2 good buys for the season, decent price, good resale value and decent offroading skills. they showed a pre-facelift.

Yes - that was OK, discussed by the forum in this link. It was red right?

The red one was 5th gear and was rubbish... No research done at all! "pick one up for 5k, just beware of swirl flaps" garbage

Has the show been ravaged by cost cutting?

It seems 12 months ago since they had a series....which was short....and was a tad dire

Did anyone read the BBC article on how much Clarkson makes from his company? The one that promotes/sells/merchandises Top Gear?

He's made a few million (and that's his cut)! Forget personal appearances. The other two don't get a look in!

Think the show is very much for overseas audience now...

But with so few motor shows (term used loosely) I don't have much choice. And tbh I like the switch-brain-off-and-enjoy, a subject I like - cars...
