Hi guys,

Newbie here obviously lol, with a 4.8IS..........picked up the motor jan 2011 but after searching for specific things like remaps, uprated exhausts etc etc I have come across your forum on the net. I hope to gain invaluable info of you guys and make some good mates.

ok so my motor...........as stated its a 4.8(E53) on an 04 plate.........picked it up from windsor last jan, It had a little over 44'000 on the clock when I picked it up and is currently on just over 50'000...........its immaculate in every way, wheels are like brand new, body work is in top condition, no stone chips at all on the front so maybe it has had some paint restoration previously..........tyres are now in need of a change so thats on the list along with a full service when I get back home.

thanks for the warm welcome guys..........

Its been a great car to have so far........only problem I have with it at the moment is the drivers door handle is not working........i'm guessing something has snapped inside...........have stripped it as far as taking off the door card the elec window bits and the airbag but still not seeing much as the gap to see anything is about the size of a gnats ball sack.......will defo get around to it though.

the car itself is a great drive and I love the fact that its huge inside..........before I bought it I was just going to get one to transport my track car to races but now it also has a purpose of being the daily driver.

Welcome aboard. That is a very clean example indeed.

I love my 4.8is but it spends more time off the road than on it (and I don't mean off roading....lol).
