Side Turn Indicator bulb replacement

I've recently purchased a 52 plate 4.4. It's in really good condition, got lots of toys and I'm really enjoying X5 ownership. Shame the double glazing doesn't allow more of the V8 woofle into the cabin!

Now to the request. One of the side turn indicators bulbs needs replaced. According to the manual; Press the light forwards with the fingertip at its rear edge. I've attempted this and it won't budge. The other side won't budge either.

Before I start applying force and potentially break the light, I wanted to check if there are any permutations to the design noted in the manual. My car does have a fancy body kit that I haven't seen on any other car, though I believe it is BMW body kit.

Any help much appreciated

Martin

I replaced mine with some darker ones, but my cars black.

On mine I tried to remove one but did not move, other side was ok this is a 53 plate.

With out checking I think you slide then back, try putting warm water over them.

Thanks for that. You don't think there were perhaps multiple designs?

I would say that been a E53 on an 02 and 03 would be the same body, just bumper change with yours been a V8. But could be well off the mark, seems daft to change though.

I will go out in my break in 15 mins and double check for you.

Just checked mate, got it wrong. Push to the front off the car then the bit you push, pull out and should pop out.
