Hi all,

How do I know if my 53 plate has the ISOFIX system?

Looking at child seats and the isofix base looks like a good option.

Cheers

Pair of plastic bits at the base of each side rear seat - they should unclip to reveal a thin 5-7mm thick hook/bar. Child seat will clip to that - standard after 2000, so you should have it in yours. Only in the rear seats mind, never in the front.

me too. at the base of the rear seats, where the seats fold, what you might mistake for the seat hinge (my previous 3 seriese had this, i actually never knew it was the isofix  ) - the pieces of plastic are actually the isofix covers. the pieces of plastic pop out.

Yeah, my car seat (britax) came with plastic guides which need to removed before you put the seats down
