just a quick question on cd changers, when i bought the x it didnt have a cd changer so i fitted a alpine Alpine Alpine CHM-S630 as it was pre-wired and all was good. now that i have a purchased an intravee for ipod integration and i know most will say no need for a cd changer but i would like to keep one anyway so purchased an intravee switch so i can use upto 3 ai-net compatible devices. the existing changer isnt but if i purchase an alpine CHA-S634 ai-net cd changer will this work as i know the lead it comes should fit into the intravee switch.

Cool, I've seen the site but will register and look in more detail, so it looks the cd changer will work fine, i haven't bought the switch for no reason as I thought it was needed if I was gonna use more than one device, supposed to be alternative for kca-410c. Thanks for the reply, I'll look into compatible DVD players as I wanted one too which could probably act as cd player too. When it says v6 firmware are they talking about the Intravee as if I just got it I'm assuming it will be latest firmware. I think I'll speak to the owner of toys in your car, they seem quite helpfull too.

You'll have version 6 and yes they're making reference to the Intravee. Your latest firmware will be whatever is officially released, that won't be the one with Extras (please do a search, you'll find the info here). That 's only available to Beta Testers...
In any event you'll be covered, follow the guide and register to speak directly with the Intravee Support team. No doubts then.

quick question. where have you guys put the kca-420i at the front or have u left it at the rear. i remember someone sayimg the cable for the iphone/ipod is long enough to get to centre console. im getting everything fitted in a fortnight. have alpine dha-s690 dvd player for the rear and some alpine tme-m780 sunk into some headrests and have intravee switch to integrate everything. hopefully will be the end of the x5 project. thanks

Under the rear seat. There is a block of foam that can be removed. I put mine in there and put the foam back as recommended by other members.
