Hi everyone.

Someone from another motoring forum told me about this forum a few days ago and have joined up today.

Ive just picked up a 2001 (51 plate) e53 x5 4.4 sport.

Its black with black sports leather and satnav/tv.

Its only my second 4x4 (had a ml430 previously) and so far feels much better than the ml in every aspect.

Theres plenty ive to learn about these x5's so i'll be asking lots of questions soon!

I'll take some pics tommorow and post them up.

Welcome along.
Out of interest, how was the ML? Friend of mine has just bought one (2.7d) and would be interested to know the difference. :)

Some pics as promised!

Not the best pictures but it was getting dark.

Its done 82,000 miles and runs and drives great.

Im unsure of the exact spec yet but the obvious ones are - satnav/tv, xenons, front and rear parking sensors, heated electric seats, glove box fridge (well it feels cold anyway), sunroof and a parrot handsfree kit is fitted but i think its got telephone prep/bluetooth judging by the buttons on the steering wheel.

Im really pleased with it so far, its also just passed its mot just needing a cv boot and the mechanic commented on it being really clean underneath.

I'll have to look at the satnav/tv unit as in not used it yet, i guessed it would need a digital box but the seller mentioned he was watching it the day i bought it.

Ah fair enough about the lights i wasnt sure to be honest, and they looked different to the xenons on my mini cooper s.

The best bit of all is i picked it up for the princely sum of £3750! :)
