Brake discs question

Hello all,

Earlier this year I had my rear brake discs replaced and the part that makes contact with the wheel is painted silver.
Like this...

Just had my front ones done last week and they are bare metal and have already started to get rusty orange marks on them where water has come into contact. :headbang:

Any ideas what I should do?
In a few months they will look awful through the spokes of the alloys.

I'm thinking I should paint them (=ball ache) but if I do could anyone suggest what primer and paints I should use?

Argh!

Best get erm painted or as you say will look pants, but it will be a week 2 at the most. Lots of rain cold and pos snow in the next few days.

Just use what you used on the backs

I never painted the rears - they came painted silver.
I didn't ask for the cheapest option - but I reckon my independent dealer went for the cheapest.

Ok last time I did any painting of any disc was back when I had the Scoob, I did the calipers so did the disc at the same time, I just used caliper paint and then high temp lacquer.

So Hammerite stands up to the high temps OK I assume?! Cool.

Any jacking and wheel removal tips? Or should I just follow the manual?
Must say, removing a wheel off this beast is pretty daunting, even on my own drive!
