Hi There,

My alarm went off on my x5 4.6is at the middle of the night and none of my keys would turn it off remotely. The strange thing was that during the audible alarm the indicators did not flash. That said the central locking works, manually but not remotely, and the car drives, but no courtesy light and I can no longer set the alarm. Constructive feedback will be gratefully received.

Disconnect the battery and leave for 30 mins before re-connecting.

Also could be something faulty like a bonnet switch.

Thanks, Turk. i had the alarm reset by an independent. The Alarm was in Transport mode. No idea what would cause this.
