after being given a signal to start my own thread for my mods i figured i can start sharing them in one place.. well of course i will have to take pics and post them as they are on my X5 but so far i had the REMAP done, the headlight assemblies changed to DEPO angel lights, head unit is replaced by hauligan, added headrest monitors and the back up camera.
now thing that are in the works for the next a few weeks are going to be ; SUB enclosure (made by X555) with 500watt pioneer shallow mount subwoofer and 1000w 2 channel arctic brand amplifier.
75W HID kit upgrade from OEM xenons and the fog lights will be replaced by 75W KID kits as well both in 4300K colour temp.
after meeting with SANJ and seeing his X5 which made it easier for me to make up my mind on the LED tail lights, LED interior and license plate bulb conversion, carbon look interior and ACS pedal upgrade.
her is what i am looking to get ;
for the pedals:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/250845144641? ... 1423.l2648
for the tail lights;
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/280777499066? ... 1423.l2649
for the LED interior lights;
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180739529251? ... 1423.l2649
if anyone has a better pricing for these items please let me know. i am planning to order these within the next week.
as i said i will post pictures as i install these on my X5.
besides these upgrades i've also done some maintenance stuff such as control arms and all the bushings all around replaced, new radiator ,coolant reservoir and new A/C compressor and the update on the gearbox as well as gearbox flush.
i also purchased a set of 18" wheels with snow socks on them for the colder days.

The pedals all black may not be that noticeable with the interior already completely black. May be too subtle???

Link 2 is the same as link 3.

Link 2 to LED tail lights is nice and same as mine (except smoke), but no mention of being error free. You may end up having to wire in that capacitor.

Regards link 3, you've already had PM from me...

Regards US pricing, can't really touch that!

i have fixed the link for #3.
as much as i like the brushed metal look i thought smoked colour would fit better on the pedals. i just don't want to fit the brushed metal M logos on there. i know my X5 is not an M so i am even hesitant with the AC schnitzer logo.
i have e mailed the seller about the error free question. i am waiting for a reply to make the decision on the tail lights. i sure do not want to deal with no errors on the dash. i already have one warning which is driving me nuts therefore i don't need anymore warnings.

Dry fit the box first! It may require some 'fine tuning'! x555 is getting old... :poke:

Moving that heavy Box about is far easier without a speaker in it.

Pics a must! :thumbsup:

the sub is in the box and the box is in the X5 now BUT once the box is in there isn't hardly any room to change light bulbs if needed to get in there..or am i doing something wrong? one of the corners was sticking out a little bit so i have to do something to fit better i guess. i am uploading pics to photobucket now and will add them when it is done

as you can see in the images there are some tuning ups to do but do i just start shredding the box to fix?

Fine tuning my arse old man sanj :P ...... every one i made was tried and tested in my x so i know they fit.
@ kkodal78 ....make sure the wires at the rear top half of the box are out of the way and that the metal stud on the floor area is not stoping it sitting right ......it should fit fella as i tested them all in mine as said.
Tight but then that was the plan ...didn't want it rattleing around ;)

As for the bulb.......no chance of changing that without removing the enclosure........thats the price we pay for modding fella ;) maximum area is needed for sub and only takes a few mins to remove to change bulb :thumbsup:
good luck and let us know what it sounds like with that shallow sub once in :thumbsup:

ok than i thought i was doing something wrong..tonight i will try to fit it a little bit better. i guess once i get the LED tail lights i shouldn't worry about the light bulbs anyways.
if my plans go accordingly i should set the box right tonight and run the wires tonight and maybe possibly install the amp and hook it up as well.if not the installation will finish tomorrow night.latest tuesday the sub should be kicking :)
i am looking forward to hearing the sub working as well so a couple more days 8-)
