I am getting excessive engine vibration when idling in D with my foot on the brake, typically when waiting for traffic lights to change. The problem goes away if I select N or P whilst stationary. Makes no difference if the engine is hot or cold. Could this be engine mounts, air filter or some auto box issue? On another thread someone mentioned cleaning the EGR valve. Is this a DIY job? Car is a facelift 3.0D sport on 115k miles.
cheers

3.0D vibration when idling in Drive
Hi there
I would say injectors as it sounds like the symptoms I had. You run any diagnostics? Would show as smooth running controller most likely.

Thanks. I guess there isn't any way I would know which injector was faulty without taking to an indie in which case they would expect to fix it.
