Park Heater success

Post by mikem » Mon Nov 14, 2011 7:36 pm

Well got a mate to plug in a scanner this morning, activated Aux heating and it works perfectly.

Timer 1 for time to come on, timer 2 for time off and sure enough on it comes and the webasto starts up with fumes from the little exhaust underneath, toasty warm too. 8-)

Bit of a releif after reading some of the epic threads on here.

I wasn`t paying 100% attention TBH  .

It`s on the same page as the door locking speeds etc. Just clicked on Aux heating then ticked the box.

Sorry

Right malc hopefully this will help :)

When you first load up you will get this page (unless you have changed the settings to skip this page ;) )

Close this page down then run a scan and after double click on IKE

Then click on coding data

Then recoding

Then aux heater

Then IIRC click on 'write' down the bottom right hand side of the page

Park Heater success

Mitch, is it possible to set the clock to GPS time or whatever it is? Just that I noticed it as an option on the same page?
Can't believe a £50k car needs it clock set manually.

Got to agree on that last one - even a vauxhall can use the RDS time signal to keep the clock accurate and automatically change between BST/GMT...

Dear Mikem

Before you enabled your heater with a scanner, did it in anycase start automatically provided the outside temp was low enough?
