Hi,

How do you tell if your car has Bluetooth?

1. Check on the nav screen for a "Telephone" option: If you don't have the centre nav screen, then....
2. Check for a cradle or other gubbins suggesting a phone may have been there, under the armrest in the centre console.
3. Check in the boot for the BT module - a silver box mounted near the "tin hat" covering the battery, under the spare wheel area.
4. Ask a BMW dealer for the spec of your car when new (not to say the BT ULF control unit hasn't died or been removed since then, but just to give an idea).

Hi, I've got a 2003 x5 does any one know how I install the Bluetooth kit and what I need? I've got the sat nav screen but no telephone option on the screen, just been in the boot to get bm54 repaired but can't recall seeing anything as described in earlier post.

OWelcome

The Bluetooth module if you have one is in the left hand boot cubbyhole. It is a long thin silver box mounted at an angle in the lower section, and on the back is the amp if you have one.

I'm sure someone (Sanj) will post a pic in a min.

Hmm, not got that! But really want it!! Is it easy to install?
There's alot of connectors there, is it just plug and play, or alot of wiring ?
Quite fancy seeing it all on the screen, have looked at the parrot kits, but not really a seamless install!
