Hi all,
My 2003 3.0i X5 sport has the usual TV/SatNav/OBC set in the dash.
It all works perfectly until the other day when for some reason the TV channels were a bit fuzzy and the sound is just one long high pitched wail.
I re-tuned the stations, but the sound still just wails a high pitched electronic continuous note.
If I turn it up (ears bleed at this point) I can just make out the TV sound in the background.
To be fair, we don't use the telly that often, usually when waiting to pick someone up or to keep the kids entertained - but I like it when everything works as it should!
Any help or suggestions that might remedy the situation?
Thanks in advance.

You probably only have analogue, and it will have been switched off in your area. You will need to swap to digital to carry on receiving TV

That would make sense, but I'm in the London broadcast area and we haven't gone over yet.
Do you know if the TV antenna is the same one as the radio (in the rear side windows)?

Unwelcome hi pitched noises from the front can useually be attributed to 'er indoors
I would check all the plugs on the amps etc in the bowels of the boot, a pretty thankless task and guaranteed to produce a back ache.
