Hi,

I have a facelift 4.4i in sterling grey metallic with 'normal' wheels - am thinking about colouring them? What do you think? What colour?

i have the same thoght about a few shades darker but would like some opinions too

A mate has said shiny silver (!) but not too sure I am a shiny silver type of guy!!!! Or shiny graphite grey?

Here are my wheels, they look nice as long as they are clean.

Nice - I like them? What colour would I ask for?

Apparantly they are the same colour as a Lotus Evora, I will have to dig out the Invoice to find the exact name.

If you could find time to do that, that would be great mate...................

I'm guessing by the lack of responses people dont usually colour their X5 wheels?

Many don't. I went gloss black as silver on silver was a bit too boring for my liking.

I think wheel colour is like car colour, there's a load of choices you just need to see some examples to know whether it works on the X5 or not…

I have a black X5 so i am happy with the silver wheels

i have my 168s in silver and my winter 22s are gloss black, they look mean but not to everyones taste i did them black as they were chrome them over the 2 years they were on my other x5 the chrome decided it wanted to divorce from the rims!! coloured rims are entirely up to you, some may slate them but its each to their own like car colour or mods, go with what you like!

I will have to give them a call, the invoice does not state the colour.

I'm not against any modding as you will see from my threads that's what it's all about 'personal preference to suit your wants/needs'
But surely there is only a limited number of colours you could do to these wheels!!!! Black,grey/graphite ....i would like to see other colours and be proved wrong mind

I agree, personally I would ever go through the spectrum of black - silver and shades in between. But if you need a refurb anyway then it's just a case of picking which shade you want. Sort of like 'how would you like your steak sir?'

Having said that, I would too would to see someone brave enough to go wild like red wheels on a red X5. Don't know if I'd like it but would love to see it!
