What to buy next?

Right, the first week of November I'm going car shopping for a replacement for the Volvo.
Requirements:
Big coupe, capable of getting passengers in the back without amputating their legs at the knees.
Fast (non-negotiable

, I do long distance euro road trips several times a year), comfortable for the same reason.
I'm 6'6" and 21stone, being able to fit in the car is a necessity I find

MPG is irrelevant, cars are my vice!
Budget is £15,000 (and as you'll see below, that buys some nice toys).
No Porsches, Mrs Hammy wants one of those for herself.
What I've identified as options so far, in rough order of preference:
Merc CL55 AMG, post 2002 as that's when the supercharger got added.
Merc CL600 V12 Bi-Turbo, same performance as the 55 but more torque.
Merc CLK55 AMG, just a shame they never gave it the supercharger.
BMW 645Ci Sport, M6's are still to pricey.
Monaro, shame about the Vauxhall badge (even if it's really a Holden).
What I've dismissed:
Maserati, too unreliable and just not me.
Jaguar XK, just don't like the old shape. If the new shape was in budget it'd be top of the list.
Any experience of the above or alternate suggestions?

The BMW 645CI is a big coupe but it's really a 2+2 not a four seater,The CL is a genuine four seater I would go for the CL55 AMG over the CL600 bi-turbo just for the AMG body kit and the sound of that engine

I ran a CL55 for a couple of years loved it, alot of car for the money.
The ABC system (active body control) is known to be troublesome and very expensive to repair but quite a few have had the pump renewed due to leaks in the seals check to see if it has been replaced or get some form of warranty.
Happy hunting
Steve

No real experience, but a guy I know has a 645, what a car.
Looks good, sounds great, goes really well and is very comfortable and suited to long distance euro runs.
I love the idea of the supercharged amg both for looks, sound etc but haven't ever been in one.
Just my 2p worth.
Happy hunting

What's the limited ed 2.7 Audi RS4 Avant??? Serious car for the money you are looking to spend...
RS32 Golf?
Are the Misho/Subo's out....?
Any Saab's worth considering and lastly any American muscle that may fit the bill?
I will go shopping now and try to help you spend your money!

RS32 Golf? I just got rid of a bloody Passat
Are the Misho/Subo's out....? I'm allergic to Burberry
Any Saab's worth considering and lastly any American muscle that may fit the bill? Saab = Vauxhall, in which case I'd buy a Monaro

And I'd like to be able to corner, which presents the American muscle with an issue

CL55 sounds good to me, the MD had the S55 and that was pure savage, in nothing else can you leave the lights so quickly whilst getting a massage!

.....if you want to consider american muscle ive got a Roush Mustang sat here

Monaro would probably be my choice, although I'd much rather the four door
Friend had an S55 when they first came out and the sound was awesome. Not a fan of the CL shape though

That is a great feeling isn't it.
I always liked the 90ish on the motorway and Mr Flash wants to play, twist right wrist and wave bye bye with your left middle finger.

I used to ride a ZX9R, until some half-blind old bat sideswiped me on the M3 at 65mph, lost my interest since then. I also like to be able to arrive at my destination these days and not have to either change clothes or walk round looking like a reject from a gimp convention

Yeah the leathers can be a pain but I use my bike for pleasure so not really an issue.
Some nice cars on your list though pal !!
