Hi everyone. Thought I'd come and say hello on here once I picked up my new purchase. Been looking on here for a few weeks, picking up great tips on what to look for, and also the great buyers guide on here. Well I picked up my 06 3.0D in Sterling Silver from BMW Coopers on Friday evening, after the dealer resprayed the bottom drivers bolster as it had some scratch marks, and also the steering wheel cover, as this was also scratched heavily. I had been counting down the hrs since 08:00 that morning :D . Seems to have most of the toy's, comms pack, comfort pack, sports + pack, Aero kit, Panoramic roof, with screens in the head rest and a PS2, none of which work, cause they didn't have the controllers :( Luckly the person that had it has installed a freeview unit, and 2 x aerials on the back side windows, so I can watch Dave as I'm sitting in the car park while the misses goes shopping! Anyway, took it out this morning and was shocked to see that the numpty that they got in to touch up the leather had covered the dash in paint, then tried to wipe it off making a complete mess. As I was driving it back to the dealer a warning came up on the dash, saying fuel injector warning or something like that :( I couldn't believe it!! So it's now back at the dealers only after having in for 1 day. At least they gave me the managers brand new % series demo car (Lovely). Anyway, once I get it back (I'm missing it already) I'll take some pictures.

One thing, is it easy to upgrade the angel eye's for the new white bright one's, as mine look a lot dimmer?

Cheers!

Thanks Wilkoturbo. Yours are loads brighter than mine, Are mine faulty, or were they dimmer 5 years ago when they came out? Also, is it an easy swap out then, or would you recommend getting it done by a mechanic?

Cheers!

Wecome aboard.

Glad you like the car.

Buying AUC doesn't guarantee a perefect used car but it should mean that any issues of concern will be sorted for you assuming issues are found.

Maybe worth crawling all over the car or causing someone else to do so.

If checking friction parts then do so asap as these wont be covred for long after taking delivery.

Hopefully all will be well after these relatively minor disclosed issues are sorted :)

Hi Mrgee

Nice to see someone else from Surrey as I was feeling a bit left out :-)

I replaced my Angel Eyes. The normal colour is yellowish and when you change them they match the xennons nicely. Mine are not as bright as the others and you can hardly see them in the day time but look good at night. Others on here have got them brighter than mine. I got mine from HID direct

Thanks ITBarbie & AW8, yeah I obviously paid more than private, but now glad! Is the computer saying that the injectors are gone, or need a clean? I'll have a look at HID direct, did you fit them yourself ITBarbie, or did you get a mechanic?

Cheers

Fitted them myself. Easy peasy even with fake nails. Not that you wear them I'm sure :-)

Don't concern yourself with injector woes.........thats the beauty of AUC warranty you just get them to sort it.

Maybe if so inclined ask them to confirm on any job sheet or other document exactly what the fault & fault code was plus what done to rectify the issue. This way you have record of fault & what's been done. Useful for later in event of any future issue plus or purely so you can keep record(s) of work done in your ownership.

still worth talking to Jason, (he did an amazing job with my throttle response! ive left a few E46 M3 owners unhappy), because im sure he works with other tuners around the country so you could still get a BW remap from someone local to you
