Anybody any idea if the e53 19" alloys will fit the e70?

I know you need spacers of some description to fit E70 wheels on an E53 but not sure of the other way round......if someone doesn't know on here, there's a mod on BMWLand who is a tyre/wheel guru on all BMW wheels, find him on their Winter Wheel sticky.

No they won't. E53 wheels have a centre bore of 72.6mm but the e70 hub is 74mm.

This is why you can put e70 rims on an e53 using spigot rings to fill that 1.4mm gap but you can't go the other way unless you machine the e53 wheel centre hole to make it 74mm.

Btw, this applies to OE e53 wheels only, many aftermarket wheels which are sold for the e53 have the larger centre bore but come with spigot rings to fit them to the e53.
