WANTED. E53 Winter alloys

Post by Brutus » Sat Sep 17, 2011 10:43 pm

Looking for a set of 17 or 18 inch alloys with or without tyres to use as winter wheels for my 2005 3.0 d Sport, currently running standard 19's.

OR if anyone has a set of winters they want to get rid of let me know.

Thanks. :)

These are currently listed......good wheels, good tyres.........you have left it a little late to snap up a bargain, guys!!

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4-Wheels-Tyre ... 415d7bb815

There is also a listing for 4 individual ellipsoid 17" alloys at £45 each......early in the summer you could buy a set of 4 for £50........

Good luck. Price of tyres is soaring now, too - the window between stock being available and the disgraceful hike in proces wasn't a very long one this time .....

Here's a bargain for this time of year.......just under £200 for the set of 4 18" alloys - these will fit the E53 diesel and 3.0i as well as the 4.4 and the 46is and 4.8is

If you manage to get tyres at a decent price, then the set of winter wheels will still be a good price esp compared to BMWs new options....

I just snapped up 4x17" with Michelin mxv4 tyres (mud and snow) with 4-5mm of tread left for £160! Well pleased. Just hope ET40 and ET48 are compatible, haven't got a clue home ET works

Yeah it's unusual for things to work out that well for me. I'm the sort of person who would fall into a barrel of boobs and come out sucking my thumb haha

Thanks for that CondorX5. You don't happen to know what width/profile of tyre would be suitable for these do you?

If push comes to shove I can get Vred Wintrax fitted on my oem 19's for £720, but I'd rather use a tyre with less width and more profile if poss.

Brutus, 255/55R18 from the look of them (I have the same style OEMs unless my eyes deceive me!). That's the normal size for 18" Range Rover wheels/tyres, too.
I've got Vredie Wintracs ( 255/55R18) on them as well. Brilliant.

If you've got the available funds, they're a great buy in my opinion!
