My view from apartment until next week, "suffering "
E53 is still the most visible X5 here, all SE models, no Sport at all.

I read this today " Top forecaster Kristina Pydynowski predicted "widespread tree damage, power outages and structural damage" and said "glass windows could shatter along the sides of New York City skyscrapers".
Minor but legitimate observation..... here.
If too low you could get very wet & if too high there is there is risk of injury from glass shattering, structural damage etc.
In all seriousness - What plans have your hotel & or others put into place ?

On the 50th floor, so high enough. The windows have been pinned in (whatever that means). Need to buy water etc as there won't be any lifts and 50 floors is a long way to walk. Right next to UN, so next to the water flooding area.
Nice weather today though. Fly back on monday, will see how that goes ...

I hope you and the family are safe and well away from what's racing up the Coast. Take care.
Always fancied seeing one of these type storms, but under properly safe circumstances

Thanks guys.
Weird to see MacDonalds closed, and even all Starbucks shops as well as most restaurants.
Even the Apple store was closed despite being open "24 hours a day"

Too much damage had already been done to my wallet earlier in the week by the shopping part of the family ...
It is a bit like "day after tomorrow" here, no cars coming into town at all, no private cars allowed anymore and hardly anything moving here anymore.
Very ghost like.
Been keeping an eye on Fox News
Do you not have any 'real' News channels to watch? I mean if it's on Fox, it must be true! TV equivalent of the Daily Sport.....
