starter motor

hi guys, is it possible to identify what type of starter motor is fitted to my 54 plate 3.0 diesel facelift, mine seems a bit graunchy so i would like to get hold of a secondhand one to recon,wondered if it can be done off chassis number,dont have time to take to dealer at the moment,any help gratefully received thanks
