WANTED! black e53 parcel shelf/ luggage cover

Hi guys picked up my e 53 x5 today and dealer has been unable to source a black parcel shelf, so thought i could find one myself and get him to pay for it!

Stick a post in Introduce Yourself section and state the car you have, facelift or pre-facelift as the parcel shelves are different for them.

Shelves currently on ebay for both prefacelift & facelift. Breakers likely to have same too, though if buying used from anyone always check/verify condition as best able.

Seems daft you are doing avoidable legwork to save a few quid for the car seller. If it were me I would.............

a) Ask dealer to source one, supply & fit same. ( or cause it to be posted to you if you're not local to them). If seller is actually a main dealer then this really shouldn't be an issue.......indeed for me it would be condition of sale. I suspect when you say dealer you may mean independent trader but either way these things aren't hard to source new or used.

b) Ascertain list price from BMW and get same deducted or paid to you then go shopping for same new/used as you wish.

sorry for not replying for a while still waiting for parcel shelf i have been in today and voiced my opinion but as they just have to give gearbox a overhaul at a cost of 2500 which come from their pocket i dont feel to hard done by, apparently the probem it i have electric rear seats and this is a different shelf? will phone bmw tommorrow for price
