I can relase the tailgate of the X5 from inside the car and the key fob also .The boot does not open though it only unlocks ,is this what is supposed to happen ,or does the boot lid open fully.Just a query ,as my car is now 7 years old and thought the gas struts were maybe to tired to open the boot lid fully .
Thanks for any input guys !

Re: Auto bootlid
But can an auto open / push button close be retro fitted?
Re: Auto bootlid
Potentially - easiest way is to use the existing button on the key and fit struts strong enough to lift the tailgate - then you have to pull it shut.
Of course only a semi auto-OPEN not shut. Then you also have to get the strut-strength just right...
