Hi All!

Well done to all those that went to all the effort of getting this fine forum back together. I found X5Drivers just before it disappeared and even found my wife's car on there!

Posted a few times under another name and got friendly, informative replies and looking forward to the same here.

Will post pics soon, but for those that like to know, it is a 52 4.4 Sport in a nice metallic grey, 20" 4.8is wheels and lots of toys.

Regards

Dean

Thank you all so much for the very warm welcome.

Yes the name is somewhat apt after a few months of ownership. Actually it was a close run thing between EmptyWallet and LotsaTescoClubCardPoints after the non stop visits to the local Tesco petrol station to fill her up!

In truth, other than the 16.5mpg my wife is averaging (all stop start round town), ownership has not been too costly so far. Will need a new pair of tyres soon and have changed the crankcase breather pipes. So far so good!

Hi EmptyWallet/Dean

Welcome to the forum. You should empty your pocket more and talk to Jason about a remap. It may help your MPG a bit

Yes that makes sense and he is not too far away. It also sounds a little "fluffy" at low revs, so a remap session, may also identify any other issues.

Very nice car indeed, but I think its days with us are numbered. I like it, Kids and Wife love it, but one of it's main tasks would have been to carry her three dogs around, but the tailgate lip is too high for them and they refuse to use the little doggy ramp she bought to solve the problem! So for now she has had to keep her old Volvo Estate to cart them around!
