Hi all,

Is there a fix to make the front seatbelts return back onto the spool. On mine you have to manually feed it back as it has a tired mechanism....

All help grateful unless you tell me to buy new seatbelts :(

Quite a few including me pulled it out all the way then sprayed silicone spray on it and then released. Try it a few times as it definitely made mine better.

This does work - did it to mine about 2 years ago, still retracting fine. :)

What type of silicon spray? Got the same issue on the drivers side on the E53.

While we're on the subject of seatbelts ;)
I've lost the 'button' thingy on the front passenger seatbelt (that stops the buckle slipping all the way down) so you have to go fishing around for the buckle on the floor almost. Does anyone know if you can get replacement buttons and how you fit them?

Waka,

This what happened to me on an old 911 I had.. I simply got a large pop rivet and fitted it in the same hole with a washer on the back.. the rivet was also black and you would have never have known that it wasnt the genuine part....

Cheers Greg
