Hi all

we are looking for 3 E53 3.0i to remap

as most of you have heard or been told by other companys that these are not worth doing

so we throught we would get 3 cars in to remap as long as the owners put up a honest post of our work

we will offer a 100 money back if anyone is not happy with the results

we started this off on the old forum be for it went down

Hi Jason

I could be interested and possibly give a fresh outlook to the subject as I have had my 3.0i petrol remapped locally some time ago. Did not seem to make any real gain also have a K&N pannel filter.
Pm me some details and perhaps you can have a go at mine to see what's been done and what you can do. Only problem is I'm in south Wales
Cheers
Steve

I can offer some first hand experience of a remap from Jason. He did my 3.0i. There was a definite improvement on power, smoother and a little quicker off the mark. I'm sure he would say not to expect drastic changes, but on normal but smooth driving I saw a difference. Be prepared to get use to it very quickly though, so if you really want to assess the difference, take the car for a long drive once its done.

I was getting about 21 MPG on average in London and a peppering of trips to suffolk. I would say out of a full tank I was doing 300 miles cruising at 70-75 on motorways, and the rest around town. I certainly didn't boot it off the line every time, I was cruising, but in my book, thats what the 3.0i does best!. After the remap I managed to get an average of 23MPG under the same circumstances, and on the last but 1 tank I got 445 miles out of a full tank, that one though was slightly more motorway driving, but not ALL motorways.

I think the bottom line is though, if you have a heavy right foot, forget your MPG with or without a remap. But with some normal driving, I did see results.

we could do it at the bristol meet if your coming?

this would be the ideal car to do as you have had it tuned before and it didn't make much differance from another tuner
