All depends on your circumstances...where you live how old etc etc...
I renewed with swift last year as they were the best price for me.

I've just renewed with swift with 9 years no claims for just over £500. Not as good as last policy as higher compulsory excess but everyone else was ridiculously high!

Do any of you have trackers? I don't and have heard they can make quotes cheaper, or in some cases, the difference between quote and no quote!

I don't have a tracker. Some companies won't accept you without one and my last company (Zurich connect) told me it made no difference to their quote so I'm not bothered.

I'm with Saga ( I know I'm an old T*@t )
My X has a tracker fitted which is not activated.
Saga were prepared to knock 1p off my insurance if I activated the tracker

I have tracker as Churchill (£285) insisted on my having it before they would touch it. As I bought the car new and expected to keep it for a few years (which I obviously did), the tracker fee was not too bad).

I'm 32, 9 years no claims, just got a quote for £476 which I find to be brilliant! it just gets cheaper each year
Putting any random woman as a second driver knocks £100 off the price too.......... sister, mother, gf, anyone! add a man and it goes up!
(oh, and Admiral and Elephant tend to always be the cheapest for me, also Tesco and AA)

Just run them again on confused.com and re-submitted some old quotes, Fully comp with protected no claims: Elephant £476.39 Bell has now come in at £478.51 i use a £500 voluntary excess, with £100 excess the quotes are: Elephant £537.87, Bell £539.99. with £250 excess: Elephant £531.51 Bell £533.63.
Compulsary excess is £100 in each case.
Summary:
With £250 voluntary excess: Elephant £531.51 Bell £533.63.
With £300 voluntary excess: Elephant £530.45, Bell £532.57
With £350 voluntary excess: Elephant £530.45, Bell £532.57
With £400 voluntary excess: Elephant £530.45, Bell £532.57
With £450 voluntary excess: Elephant £476.39, Bell wont quote £450 excess
With £500 voluntary excess: Elephant £476.39, Bell £478.51
With £1000 voluntary excess: Elephant £450.95, Bell £453.07
Hence £500 always seems about right to me
I always use confused.com as it's quick and easy.....

Elephant/Bell/sheilas wheels/Diamond etc etc are all one and the same, watch for the 02920 (Cardiff) telephone numbers if not freephone. They compete against each other so is worth a battle :O)

might be worth a play around on here :

it lets you put in your job title and suggests other ways of wording it that may come out a bit cheaper.
