Me Again.....

Does anyone know how to, or who could, fully test the gearbox control unit from an E53 3.0D Auto!!

Mine lost Can Bus comms and looks like its taken the bleeding gearbox with it!!! (again!)
I am a bit loath to re-installing the box until i can fully test / replace the unit..

Details are:-
BMW Part 7-517-709 (7-532-302)
GM 96-025-346
Siemens 5WK33503AK
GS20 - SW 85

Gearbox is the GM-5L40E (A5S390R)

Would the 5WK33503AU SW88 (or higher) work OK??

Failing that what is the latest version that would fit / work???
