Farewell to the beast

Post by Junkie » Thu Jun 02, 2011 9:45 pm

Well folks,

I actually sold her on a well known site, the very next day after advertising.

Mixed feelings letting her go, afraid of impending bills for major repairs, but happy that the work I did was of sufficient standard to enhance the new owners experience.

Little did I know that she is now owned and driven by a 23 year old lady with a young child and clearly more money than sense.

That aside, I would like to say a warm thanks to one and all who run, moderate and contribute to this fine forum, my experience here has been memorable and whilst I never made a meet I can say I will still keep an eye on the place to see what's going on.

For information only, I now own a 7 seater for moving the horde around europe and the next purchase is a five series to keep me interested.

I wish you all well and remember me if you need a subframe bush tool to hire 8-)

Will do, and just to balance things, I went from a 7 seater to my X, and I'm sure you will enjoy the 5er until you regain the X bug.

Take care.

All the best there fella and dont be a stranger now  I like you have done many repairs on the x now and it is getting tiresome but i'm still hanging in there at the mo  .....mind after yesterdays shananigans and the x playing up again with some clunks and nasty noises (possible drive shatfs or cv joint failure me thinks)and then having to drive off in the van with the missus on our day out  ....i don't know how much more i can take before the x has to go.
I'm also starting to like the look of the 5'er but who knows.
As said all the best big fella
