warped brake discs

on my X5 3.0 D Sport 2004 I get a slight wobble under braking at around 50mph. I was told before that I may have warped discs. The discs pads and sensors were replaced about three meonths ago. Wheels have been balanced and alignment checked and suspension and steering appears fine
Two questions - any ideas what else may cause this? when folk say the discs are warped what causes this to happen?

Cant recall which discs you bought...hopefully not some cheapo kit off ebay marketed as high performance bargin of the year.
If you have old discs then easist way to tell is to put them back on & compare.
...........Or the judder at 50mph under braking could be down to thrust/lower wishbone/brake control bushes............3 names but all the same thing & typically can fail from around 60k upwards.

"warped" discs are usually where pad deposit has stuck onto the disc, making it appear to be warped, have you tried driving in a spirited way, then, on a nice safe stretch of road brake quite hard a few times to try and clear any deposits from the discs, if this doesn't cure your problem, jack the car up at the front, and turn each wheel, if, when you rotate the wheels you get resistance some of the time, but not all the time, then you need to get the discs skimmed to remove deposits/glaze.
Obviously you could have another problem as well, but it's a start.
