Hi All,

Thought I better intro myself before I start spamming you all with my newbie X5 questions! I am looking to sell my wifes E46 325ci convertible and replace it with an E53 X5 4.8is which I will look to LPG and keep for a few years and make some subtle mods to when the pocket allows it!

I have personally owned a few bmws in the past 7 years along with a hand full of old VW's....

* 91 Corrado 16v - Dark Burgundy Pearl
* 91 Golf GTI 8v - Pearl Grey
* 91 Golf GTI 8v - Capri Green - Converted to 2.0 16v ABF
* 92 Golf GTI 16v - Met Schwarz
* 91 Golf GTI 8v - Diamond Silver

* 98 E36 328i Sport
* 02 E46 330 Ci Clubsport - Supercharged
* 03 E39 530i Sport - aegean Edition
* 54 E60 545i Sport (current car)

i've had a few other cars in between these. Here are a few pics of some of cars in the past:

And my current 545i which has been through a few changes of rims over the past 8 months!

Hope to stick around on here and look for your help to find the right X5 and then enjoy running her!

Thanks

Welcome to the forum mate, you certainly have had a few sweet cars... I love the Carrado's! A friend of mine had a VR6 one.

You seem to like your wheels too! Funny how a set of rims can totally change the look of a car - make or break sometimes! I'm still a sucker for the Alpina wheels, think they look great!

Turks.

Welcome :thumbsup:

Having had (and still have) the VWs, there is something about them to make them so special. Still have my '93 MKI Clipper which I have had since '95.

The alpina's on the X5 do look amazing in 21" but the ones on my E60 were 20"

Ez H. I said to Kav, I knew it wouldn't take very long for you to make the decision.....lol.

As for the Alpina's, they are truly awesome looking and suit the X5 but as they are 21's the tyres are just ridiculous.

Wecome aboard :)

Only ever owned one VW in shape of a Mk1 Scirocco in mid 1980's..............showing my age now. Corrado still causes me to look twice. You have owned some very well prepared & cared for cars.

Oh & fwiw I thought the Alpinas look nices on the E60 545i.......Thats a lot of wheels. Hopefully some cunning buying & selling offset the total outlay.

Good Luck sourcing your X5 of choice
