Hi All,

Just stumbled across x5drivers shortly before it's demise - being a IT Guy I can appreciate the heartfelt loss of the folks who contributed over the years to the old forum and glad to see you've had the help to be reborn and live again !

As an x5 owner, 4.4i Sport Black with Grey internals with the new x5 now ordered (E70 4.0d MSport), looking forward to learning from the others on the forum and contributing what I've learned over the years of x5 ownership (indeed just fixed the tailgate on the 4.4 with the nefarious little knocking noises it makes by using felt pads!! )

Welcome mate - lucky man! Look forward to the pics of the new car. Forum man Minda is waiting for his... Due in less than 2-3 weeks I think.

Oh and try electric tape round the lock catch too. That works...

Welcome aboard Shocks don't know of too many e53 owners that traded up to an e70 nice spec by the way from your other post, how old is the e53 V8?

@chompers - the E53 is a Sep 2002 - 53k miles on it and done us proud as a family hauler. All the usual refinements to it

Fair play nice miles for an 8 year old car, I'm sure you will be sorry to see it go but looking forward to the new e70 no doubt
