My 2002 4.4 e53 passed its mot yesterday , with no adviseries.( Used a different garage this year on advise of son in law, had 4 last year) funny how they can cure themselves.
No guesses where I go in 2027.

Funny how that happens. A few years back HRH’s E46 got an advisory flagged for lower wishbone bushes. Was taken to a BMW Indy to check. Nothing wrong with them! Never been back to that ‘National chain’ MOT `station again, and all remains well.

My X6 went through (eventually) this year too - once the Dealer accepted (and fixed) the light problem they flagged was because they broke it!.

And the Motor Trade wonders why it isn’t trusted?/

Always a worrying time when they get old and rack up the issues , daughters little Citreon ds3 has just put on the engine management light in the last hour so potential trouble ahead there :headbang:

There are two ways of looking at that.
I know of 2 MOT garages local to me one i know i will get a clean pass at and the other i am not so confident on a pass.
The first garage is well known for getting away with stuff the second you know your car is safe you get away with nothing.
I was a tester for many years and i go to the second garage as i know my cars but i also want to know if there is something that might want doing soon.
