Hi,i'm looking to rearrange my LPG conversion a little. At present the Suspension pump is where the battery should be and the battery is located in front of the LPG tank,which i'm not keen on in the event of an accident etc.My question is,does anybody have any pictures of how the battery is secured in place in its original location and maybe any part numbers for clamps etc.

I seriously looked into LPG'ing my 4.8 and all the companies I spoke to left the battery in the oe position and relocated the suspension pump to the cubbyhole on the right of the boot. May be a better solution.

Hi Raj,my 4.8 already came converted,the conversion is quite good but i don't like having the battery in front of the tank for fear fear of it being crushed in an accident. The compressor has been mounted on a bracket in the OE battery postion. My thinking was that if i was able to switch the battery and compressor round it would free up a tad more space and i would be able to fit a larger LPG tank (currently only a 62l). But to do this i would need to know how the battery was originally fitted and held in place. I have the DSP so unfortunately the cubby is used up.

As Raj said thats unusual that an LPG installation was done that way, who installed it and what is the system?

I too thought it was unusual until i started looking at conversions on google. The system is a KME Diego G3 setup,unfortunately i don't know who fitted the system. I have the know how to change the configuration around but i could do with knowing what holds the battery in place in the OE position,clamps, straps etc ??

I am pretty sure the battery is held in place with a clamp at the base, mine is.
|would suggest to anyone fitting lpg to put a new battery in when doing conversion,(also have flexible pipes fitted to the tank to engine and other fittings so you can move the tank without breaking solid walled pipes) .
You don't want to be taking the tank out to change batteries shortly after conv.
Mine is a 94 litre donut tank fitted under the extending floor which still works ok.

Thanks for the info Lez don't suppose you've any idea what the part numbers for the clamp are,i can't find it on the ETK program.
