if i change the maf senser will it need coding?

The manual says to use BMW software to reset the adaption values. You may be able to do it with other diagnostic tools as well. I think a few changes have been done by other Forum users so try a search.

Don't think i had to do anything when i changed mine but it was 5 years ago now and my car is getting on in years.

Id say try it and see , guessing it will be fine
