Heated front seats E70 SE

Anyone know if SE seats are actually prepped and maybe only need a dash switch swap?

Is there a way to check on the seats themselves?

Not sure but I remember heated seats being extra when new and not much extra either , why anybody would not want them I dunno they should have been standard , granted some cars were sold in hot countries but in the uk they should have been standard . I love mine wouldn't be without them Unlike now where everything was fitted and you had to subscribe to make them work at this age I suspect the wiring/ heating elements won't be there .

In my searching, i've noticed a fair number of SE spec cars that have blanks where switches would normally be. I wouldn't know if they were optional or just not offered. Whatever, numerous SEs are bereft of them.

BMW UK took the decision to make a lot of things ‘options’ for the UK market due to fleet buyers and tax charges for company cars.
