Hope someone can help. E53 2006. About to change the SAS for a new one. I can understand how to physically change it, but do I need to do anything with software Before I change it or just use the software afterwards to calibrate it?

Watched a utube video No mention of doing anything before changing the sensor. They used a Foxwell scanner and recalibrated after fitting it seemed a very simple straightforward procedure.
