Looks like the ns to me
as the side closest the window is splayed and the bottom flater.

Maybe a bad picture but the two little tabs on the inside to the right of the trim in the centre fit on the outside of the mirror ??

OOOPPS!
i mean o/s
and the slpayed bit is to the outside
....just been out to the car and checked.
Perhaps the buyer doesn't know his o/s from his n/s

Same here
One vertical edge of the frame will be obviously splayed out more than the other. The splayed edge is always furthermost from the window. This looks like the splayed bit is on the right hand side when looked at as if mounted. This means it must be the right hand side or offside of the vehicle.

Thank God for that, thought i was going mad for a minute. This numpty his now dragging it through a dispute on Ebay, most likely i will lose as they always seem to find in favour of the buyer. I wouldn't mind but he only paid £15 inc P&P. Its the principal of the thing. You try and describe something correctly,i mentioned broken clips and a small scuff on the trim and still they try to do a number on you !

Unfortunately nothing you can do thats the problem with ebay people can say what ever they want, just get him to return item second class and not any other expensive way.

Not an overseas buyer by any chance? Their O/S and N/S are the other way round of course coz they drive on the wrong side - all Napolean Bonie's fault!!
Unless of course this is one of 'those' buyers who always tries it on......

The only other mark on the mirror is a barely noticeable scuff on the outside edge of the trim. The buyer isn't an overseas buyer unfortunately so it makes it even more frustrating. I think he is just trying it on because when he first informed me that i had sent him the "Wrong" side and i replied to his message,he instantly started a dispute. !!

Tbh, a lot of people think the nearside is actually the offside as they think it is the nearest side to the driver and not the nearest side to the kerb...

Good point. I've come across that once or twice and now always call it left or right, or Driver's side/Passenger's side as appropriate. It can be very confusing if writing posts on US sites
I notice that BMW now always use the terms LHD and RHD on their installation guides just to make it really clear.

It is always better to specify drivers side and passengers side to really make it clear to people. Not everyone is as clued up as us...lol
