how to stop side mirrors auto folding

hello, side mirror gear is malfunction, so auto folding is not working but it keep makes noise when open or lock the car, how to stop it from auto folding when ever I open or lock ?

Pull the appropriate fuse?

Have you got the switch set to fold? I think you can set it from the iDrive as well. It’s a codable function that I’ve never used having had an E53 as well, and those were known for micro switch faults (in the mirror housing).

Fuse will stop the folding only or also directing the mirror ? if you know please let me know

Having done a bit more digging, this needs coding with something like NCS Expert, Carly or Bimmercode. Dealers would have asked on delivery if you wanted it. Later models had the function included as an iDrive setting.
