Hi Guys,

I have a 52 X5 3.0i that has small 17 inch wheels, are there any problems with putting bigger wheels on, will the speedo need to be re calibrated etc, are the problems more trouble than its worth, I was thinking a nice set of bigger black wheels would look pretty cool.

No problem at all with switching up to the 19" or 20" wheels as the outer (rolling) diameter with the tyres fitted does not change (as long as you stick with the correct profile tyres for those wheels). Your speedo will not need recalibrating. You will notice a difference in ride to being slightly stiffer as the sidewall height will be less. I prefer the harder ride myself anyway.

I've got 19" on the E53 and it comes with a 17" spare anyway
