I emailed the factory in Germany asking for a nearby centre, they sent me a link to follow.
From my postcode, the nearest centre is apparently in France
Is there a UK base that anyone can share with me?

Interesting.
I notice you are putting the search filters in. If I do that it shows only 1 location, which is nearly 40 miles from me. The place I go to is less than 15 miles. Try it again, but don't use any search parameters.
I found JT Automatics in Erith. That any good?

This is screwy, filters are supposed to help. If i just enter my nearest town i get results that are all commercial . If i add ZF in the search box i get an agent in Croydon Surrey shown with no contact detail, but the map on the side shows Gravesend in Kent.
Erith would be possible, but why doesn't my search show that?

Are you using a PC or laptop, or a mobile device? I'm using a laptop.

What’s the issue that you need to go to ZF for?
I think they only have the two passenger car centres in the UK, but there are a few Approved service centres. I had my fluids done by a BMW Indy. Cost just over £1k using OEM fluids (Lifeguard 8, diff oils (there were three or four different ones needed), transfer box fluid and a new pan/filter assembly for the box. This was the 8sp, and the 6sp will be similar.

I use a tablet. Wouldn't think it would matter?

I was contemplating having all the transmission fluids swapped. The only offer so far is some way from home and they want the car the night before, thats just not possible without an hotel for the night

ZF UK do not undertake servicing your gearbox they just want to sell you a new box, last time I had mine done I went to ZF Dortmund in Germany, the service involves removal of the VCB, stripping it down, it looks like a brain inside
, putting it in a big washing machine type of cage, then is all put back together with new springs and marbles refitted, filter and fluid, test drive etc...all took around 4hrs or so, cheaper to go in the week if you want it done on a Saturday morning its about an extra 100euros...while your waiting theyll give you a tour of the factory, Saturdays only....
They only want it night before so the fluid cools down, as I arrived at 6.00am it had til 8.00am when they opened....so make an early appointment get there 2hrs hours early and your sorted.
