Put your seat belt on maybe? :D

......come on, that was a golden invite comment now wasn't it, and you know that someone (me) couldn't resist it?

I think on mine if you stop and engage reverse, it stops bugging you. Not advocating it though, unless going backwards

The scanner does have option to enable/disable various warnings. I was about to disable my seatbelt warning gong, then had horrible thought that car might think driver seat not occupied and not set off airbag in a crash! Didn't want to find out if I was right so decided to leave it well alone.

There's an alarm/warning?
That means mine ain't working.
Is it pressure sensitive for all 5 seats?
Come to think f it, I've never seen the light on the dash either. Rats.

I don't know when BMW started fitting it. On our 2005 E53 it does not go off immediately but both the gong and light come on a short while after setting off if no belts are being worn. It only works on the two front seats.

The gong in the X6 is much more 'insistent' and starts the moment you start the engine. The light is on as soon as the ignition is on. Again it only works on the front seats AFAIK. There's also a large '!' shown to the driver on the info display and a message on the satnav - just in case you missed all the other warnings! :?
