FAULTS
Been out and about today during which time the X started to hesitate, die of throttle and could only be kept running by using the throttle. No fault codes so did a fuel pressure test and am seeing 38psi rather than 50/52. Is this likely to be the filter which incorporates the pressure regulator or the pump. Neither have been changed in my ownership so therefore have probably never been changed. How can I separate which is at fault or should I just dig deep and do both. I’m about 20 mile short of 170k

I’ve changed the fuel pump and filter for Mehle items. Fuel pressure is restored to normal and I opened the old filter to see what 170k internals look like. I was curious as when I emptied the old one what drained out was the colour of coke. Start is instant and no stall. However short term fuel trims had gone to -25 on both banks, this was reset to 0 done some driving and they are stable as expected.
Then went to Dorset LPG to get the lpg map to try and mirror the fuel map. Need to do a good few miles to now to ensure it maintains the fuel trims.
