How much should I pay for a 2017 30d battery fitted and coded, I thought the main dealer was high at £376. Any alternative greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Mark

Coding you can diy if you have the kit, or know someone close by with it. Halfords can probably do it for far less (I know, it goes against the grain but…..). Their 019 format AGM battery is just under £200. Fitting from £20.

Maybe get a price from an independent such as Hughes Brothers in Derby, always found them very good, they may just fit and code it, if you got a battery from Tanya or similar

Thanks to all, the Halfords option was hard as the battery was only available on line, I would have to order it then take it back for fitting/coding.

In the end I have ordered a Bosch from Kwik fit, £249 fitted and coded, I have had to have a new battery on e53 (4.4) e70 40d 3.5 years from new, now 30d f15 5.5 years from new.

Part ex’ing mine + £50 to replace the car makes £249 sound a bargain!

For interest the local bmw ini wanted £444, as opposed to £370 from main dealer
