Just got in to car and no the heater not blowing air, also realised heated seats not working for both driver and passenger. The heating will blow air if directed at screen otherwise not blowing through passenger vents. If you could please help with possible cause?

I had the resister and blower motor changed a few months bsck and was working fine.

Have you checked the Battery condition ? I remember reading a post where the same symptoms were suffered when temperatures were low a battery test showed a little over 12v after engine start and no Heater Fan but Demist worked Seat lights showed they should be on but no heat.
Battery fully charged and everything back to normal. It would seem that BMW have protection circuits built in to divert power if Voltages drop.

Low battery will cause ‘load shedding’ until the battery is better charged. It always dumps high power circuits first.

If not then it’s a fuse check (glovebox and right rear cubby).

Yes currently my battery is on the low side if I leave ignition on for a short while the battery warning is displayed that makes sense.

We got a heads up for heavy snow next week so definitely worth doing, along with winterising screenwash too. The snow I’m sceptical of, but not the screenwash having had to replace both headlight washer trim covers on the E46 after they froze and then pinged off a few years back!
